SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 23, 2011 - Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and the worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions – today announced the company’s FortiMail™ messaging security appliance has been awarded its 11th Virus Bulletin certification in the VBSpam Awards.

Virus Bulletin staff tested FortiMail along with 18 other antispam products from 13 different countries for spam catch rates and false positive rates. The Virus Bulletin Report noted that “It is a good thing if a product performs well several tests in a row and even better when it also manages to improve its performance.” According to the report, FortiMail both increased its spam catch rate slightly and eliminated false positives. The appliance saw its final score improve for the third time in a row and easily won its 11^th VBSpam award.
