Global Crossing Selects Fortinet for CPE-Based Managed Security Services Offering

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 6, 2011 - Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leading network security provider and the worldwide leader of unified threat management (UTM) solutions - today announced that Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, has selected Fortinet's UTM appliance for its new managed services offering, Global Crossing Security Solutions. As part of the offering, Global Crossing is using FortiGate-80C, FortiGate-200B, FortiGate-620B, FortiGate-1240B and FortiGate-3950B appliances to help provide firewall, application control, intrusion prevention service, web content filtering protection, and antivirus and anti-spam capabilities.

Global Crossing is a leading global IP and Ethernet solutions provider with the world's first integrated global IP-based network. Offering a full range of data, voice and collaboration services, Global Crossing delivers converged IP services in more than 70 countries around the world.

The Global Crossing Security Solutions offer is targeted at Global Crossing's enterprise customers who prefer to local network security appliances at their premises, yet do not want to manage the appliance. Global Crossing's Security Operations Center will provide incident handling, event correlation and remediation of threats for customers using Global Crossing Security Solutions.
